Caption: FUNDING THE CANCER BATTLE: Through proceeds from the Luster Products Black Heritage Foundation's Annual Golf Outing, Freddie Luster II (r), Luster Products vice president of research and development, presents a $25,000 check to Janelle Mason (2nd, l), member of the American Cancer Society Board of Directors. The donation will be used to fund cancer education programs for children, research and treatment. Joining in are (l-r) Jory Luster, president, Luster Products, Inc., Michelle Pruitt, Luster Products marketing services manager and American Cancer Society Board committee chair; and Sonja Luster-Munis, Luster Products vice president/director, systems administration. The 13th annual outing was held at the Palos Country Club in Palos Park, IL. Attended by 200-plus golfers, it was supported by corporate sponsors. Other monetary presentations were made to Rising Star and the Richard Haley Foundation. Luster products is the leading African-American-owned maker of hair care products for Blacks worldwide.
