American cancer society fund raiser
Cancer society fund-raiser Saturday at CdA Casino
People who love a good 1950s-style party can kick up their heels while contributing to the local chapter of the American Cancer Society.
The Coeur d'Alene Casino, located on Highway 95 in Worley, Idaho, is hosting the fund-raiser Saturday, from 7 to 11 p.m.
Guests can get decked out in 1950s duds and dance to music by Sharkey and the Fins. Fun-filled activities include a slot tournament, dart contest, auction, raffle, hula hoop contest with prizes and more.
The cost is a $10 donation and the ticket includes $10 in casino cash. Money raised benefits the Spokane chapter of the American Cancer Society, providing funding for educational programs, and scholarships for children, age 7-17, who are battling cancer to attend Camp Goodtimes.
Guests can honor loved ones who battled cancer by purchasing a quilt square for $3. The squares will be assembled and used to increase cancer awareness.
