As chair of the American Cancer Society's 2001 "Man of the Year" Golf Outing, Donald Eversoll, of Klein & Eversoll, announced that the committee will officially kick off its fund raising efforts with a cocktail party on May 8, which will take place at the Riverbay Restaurant in Williston Park, N.Y. Richard Herzbach, a partner at the East Meadow, N.Y. law firm of Certilman Balin Adler & Hyman, LLP, has been chosen as this year's "Man of the Year."
In the past 20 years, Herzbach has helped to grow one of the most active condominium and cooperative law practices in the nation. And for the past 10 years, Richard has committed his energy to the American Cancer Society in its endeavor to raise funds towards the prevention and ultimate elimination of the disease. He has been an integral part of the organizing committee for their annual golf outing.
In addition, Herzbach is involved in numerous other charitable causes, serving on committees for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Suffolk Y, and the Tilles Center. He serves as vice president of the Long Island Chapter of the International Association of the Corporate Real Estate Executives (NACORE), where he plays a key role in networking Long Island's real estate community. He is also an adjunct professor of law at his alma mater, Hofstra University Law School.
