Robert F. Stott, of Windham, NH, was elected to serve on the American Cancer Society's New England Division hoard of directors for a three-year term (20042007). Stott's appointment was announced during the New England Division's recent annual meeting, which was held in New Castle, NH.

Stott is president of the New England Region for Verizon Wireless, and oversees the company's operations in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Vermont, Maine, Rhode Island and Connecticut. Stott is a 37-year veteran of the telecommunications industry. For more than 20 years, he worked in various positions within New England Telephone Company and NYNEX.

Stott also served as a spokesperson at numerous American Cancer Society events. In addition, he currently serves on the board of visitors for the American Cancer Society's New England Capital Campaign.
