Breast cancer pin

Rutland -- On behalf of the Breast Care Program and Rutland Regional Medical Center, the Rutland Health Foundation announced the winner of the 18-karat white gold, pink sapphire and diamond breast cancer pin: Parn Parizo of Pittsford, VT.

Parizo--a 13-year breast cancer survivor and coordinator for Reach to Recovery, a program of the American Cancer Society that provides trained volunteer support and comfort for recently diagnosed breast cancer patients--was thrilled to be named winner.

John Waldron and Bobby Rhodes were inspired to create the piece when they became increasingly aware of the impact of breast cancer on the greater Rutland, VT, community.
