SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 14, 2003
California Overnight, a regional package delivery company, is supporting the American Cancer Society by leaving downtown San Diego and UTC desktops abloom with vibrant yellow bouquets. The floral deliveries will happen on Monday, March 17, and will cap the society's 20th annual Daffodil Days campaign.
California Overnight does their part to support this community project by delivering the bouquets in the most difficult areas to park and make deliveries -- downtown San Diego and University Town Center.
"Our expertise is making deliveries on time and we are glad to take part in this great day of hope sponsored by the American Cancer Society," said Nina Hegyi, San Diego account executive. "We are happy to be a part of the team of businesses and community volunteers that make this happen," she concluded.
In all, the American Cancer Society delivers more than 20,000 bunches of daffodils that were ordered by individuals and corporations across San Diego County to help support cancer research, public education and patient programs. Daffodils, the first flower of spring, are the Cancer Society's symbol of Hope.
