Certificate template download
New Mexico Nurses Foundation's continuing nursing education
Good news for those of you submitting CNE applications! We have an updated version of all applications; Educational Design I (ED I), Educational Design II (ED II "independent study"), and Approved Provider Status (APS). We identified areas that have been difficult for applicants to complete, made them more clear and should result in a speedier successful application completion. Included in the application are sample sign-in sheets and certificate of completion with correct approval language. Please go to www.nmna.org to download the latest versions. You will also be able to download the Appendix for all educational activities with an exhaustive and enlightening list of measurable terms for objectives, examples of Participant Evaluations (sample template for "multiple presenter" is the most basic and brief of the participant evaluation templates) and the Summary Evaluation used to compile your Participant's Evaluations.
Also new is our procedure for processing applications. Instead of sending your attached electronic application to Courtney Cook, you will send your completed application (in WORD please) directly to NMNF at nmnaedapps@hotmail.com. This will facilitate your review and help our tracking procedure. You will notice new instructions on the updated versions explaining the rules and process.
We understand that change is difficult, but are assured you will find these changes simple and. most helpful.
When you apply for CNEs through NMNF or coprovidership through NMNA we continue to offer great marketing for your educational activities. Your activity will be posted on our Website and published in the NM Nurse, reaching over 17,000 nurses in New Mexico.
As a reminder, New Mexico Nurses Association has created the New Mexico Nurses Foundation to operate the Continuing Nursing Education approval unit. Not only does this avoid taxing applicants; it allows NMNA to co-provide activities with you for ANCC approval.
As always, we welcome NMNA members to join the NMNF/NMNA CNE Review Committee. Meetings are minimal, training is provided, reviews are done electronically with the comfort of your computer and your ergonomically correct chair, and you become a CNE expert! Get with the program, make a difference and join NMNA NOW! Hope to hear from you soon. Courtney Cook, cbcdesf@aol.com
