Computer downloads faster

OTTAWA - ThinAccess 1.0, announced by thinWEB.com Corp., is an JDBC middleware extender for database access via Web and wireless clients. It is built on a Java-based framework and, according to the company, can deliver downloads up to 20 to 30 times faster than conventional JDBC drivers.

ThinAccess is said to speed database requests by reusing database connections across multiple clients. It allows for remote management and saves on redundant database processing by sharing results of large queries among the clients.

Additional features include the ability to connect multiple databases with one driver download, platform independence and the ability to tunnel through firewalls without sacrificing security.
