SMART Technologies Inc. has launched SynchronEyes 2.0 for Windows and Macintosh, computer-lab instruction software that creates focused learning environments. New features include the ability for a faculty member to customize thumbnail images, view, and respond to student questions from his desktop and create shortcuts to commonly used applications.
The software uses a TCP/IP network. With SynchronEyes, an instructor can monitor and control up to 80 workstations from a single computer. Pricing starts at $999 per classroom or computer lab. A free 30-day evaluation can be downloaded at www.synchroneyes.com.
