The company announces the latest release of ACU*CARV Advanced Mill CAM milling software. ACU*CARV Advanced Mill version 11.5F includes an NC verification module with animated tool and stock removal. NC verification simulates a milling tool cutting the designated shape on a solid block, allowing the user to verify the stock removal before cutting the path. The software seamlessly integrates with CADKEY, allowing the user to create tool paths directly on the geometry and to machine any geometry, directly within CADKEY. Since ACU*CARV allows the user to work within CADKEY during the entire design and programming process, there is no need to translate a part file in an independent CAM system.

ACU*CARV's plateau finishing feature provides the ability, through slope analysis, to specie variable distance in Z. This allows the machinist to control the smoothness of a finish tool path. The program also offers the ability to create a process sheet consisting of a list of NC files in the order of machining and the machining time of various tool paths. In addition, the user can choose to include notes referring to ISO data, part revisions, tool information and program information for reference on the process sheet. The software is ISO 9001 certified and fully compatible with Windows 2000 and NT.
