Dell Delivers Special Edition 1 GHz Dimension Desktop PC to Enthusiasts; More Power for High-End Customers - Dell Computer's Special Edition Dell Dimension
Dell Computer Corporation (Nasdaq: DELL), the world's leading direct computer systems company, Wednesday announced plans to ship a Special Edition Dell Dimension desktop featuring the 1GHz Pentium III processor from Intel. The new Special Edition PC will be based on the powerful Dimension XPS B series that takes advantage of some of the latest technologies, including 4X AGP, RDRAM, and the 64 MB DDR GeForce video card.

The Special Edition Dell Dimension will start at $5,999 for 256 MB of RDRAM, a 30 GB hard drive, 64 MB DDR GeForce video card, 12X MAX. DVD-ROM, 8X MAX. CD-RW and a SoundBlaster Live! Value sound card among other features. "We are excited to provide these cutting-edge systems to our high-end customers," added Van Dell. The limited warranty includes a standard three-year parts and labor offering(1), or an optional three-year onsite offering(2).
