MISSISSAUGA, Ont. - Acer America Corp. has introduced the AcerNote Nuovo, a desktop replacement notebook and docking station offering a battery life of five to 10 hours depending on configuration and use of the company's smart power management features. An integrated microphone and 28.8-Kbps fax/data modem with Digital Simultaneous Voice and Data (DSVD) provides advanced communications such as the ability to join a conference call from the notebook while sending a fax to the caller at the same time.
The AcerNote Nuovo weighs seven pounds, features an Intel 133-MHz processor, offers 16 MB EDO memory and has PCI local bus video. With the first models slated for availability this fall, street pricing is anticipated to range from $3,499 to $3,999 (U.S.).
