MISSISSAUGA, Ont. -- Fujitsu Canada has unveiled the LifeBook C Series.
The C Series notebook features four USB ports standard. Additional multimedia innovations include a large and bright 14.1-inch XGA display featuring ATI Rage Mobility-P with an integrated 8MB video memory and Yamaha audio for improved graphic and presentation functionality.
Also included is an S-video out port and a direct speaker panel. For fast digital video and data transfer, IEEE 1394 technology was incorporated as part of the notebook's standard configuration.
Like all LifeBook C Series notebooks, the latest release features a mobile Pentium III processor with Intel SpeedStep technology. Users can choose a processor with speeds of either 900MHz or 1 GHz. They can also choose either Microsoft Windows Millennium, 98SE or 2000 pre-installed. The notebook includes 128MB system memory and a 20GB hard drive.
The notebook series incorporates an all-in-one three-spindle platform. In addition to the standard built-in DVD, the LifeBook C Series includes a floppy disk drive and a nine-cell lithium ion battery.
The LifeBook C Series also includes a built-in 56K1 V.90 modem and Ethernet, appropriate for office networking or a broadband Internet connection.
The suggested list price for the LifeBook C Series starts at $2,359.
