Hewlett Packard (Canada) has announced new all-in-one notebooks targeted at small-to-medium size business users: the HP Omnibook xe4000 series and Pavilion ze5170 notebook PC.
The Omnibook xe4000 series and Pavilion ze5170 notebook PC boast stylish new form factors and expanded feature sets. The notebooks incorporate the newest Intel processors -- including the Mobile Intel Pentium 4 Processor-M in the HP Omnibook xe4500 notebook PC, and the Intel Pentium 4 processor in the Omnibook xe4400 series and the Pavilion ze5170 notebook PC.
The HP Omnibook and Pavilion feature a Mylar seal under the keyboard to safeguard against spills. Other design features include a touch pad on/off button that prevents accidental cursor movement while typing, and five user-programmable one-touch quick-launch keys to simplify accessing the Internet, favourite applications or presentations, quick lock security for email, or TVNow for instant connection to a television.
The HP Omnibook xe4000 notebook comes in three models -- each equipped with a different processor. The xe4500 is optimized for mobility, featuring the Mobile Intel Pentium 4 Processor-M up to 2.0-GHz. The xe4400 is equipped with the Intel Pentium 4 processor up to 2.0-GHz. The Omnibook xe4100 notebook PC features a Mobile Intel Celeron 4Processor up to 1.13-GHz and a travel weight starting at 6.36 pounds.
The all-in-one HP Pavilion ze5170 notebook PC features an IntelPentium4Processor up to 2.0-GHz, built-in DVD+CD-RW combo drive, a floppy disk drive, modem/LAN combination and digital multimedia capabilities through the IEEE 1394 port.
