Corporate Description
Data Burst Technologies is the maker of the innovative, patented iTRAK automatic vehicle location system. iTRAK[TM] is the in-vehicle web appliance, which sends GPS location information via a wireless phone or wireless data modem. The vehicle tracking information goes to the NavView[TM] server. This interactive website is where customers go to see their vehicles in real time, moving along maps of their area.

Because it is Internet based, customers can log on to www.navview.com from any PC using a standard web browser, enter their secure access code, and view the activities of their fleet. This information can be used for fleet management purposes, including improved efficiency, driver accountability, customer support, dispatch, vehicle/driver safety and theft protection. The combination of the iTRAK web appliance and NavView services makes for a cost effective and flexible vehicle and personal tracking system, accommodating one, twenty or thousands of vehicles or personnel.
What sets iTRAK[TM] apart is that it does more than simply capture GPS positions. The standard iTRAK[TM] web-appliance is a vehicle-mounted device, configured to transmit real-time position data to a network server, using a variety of wireless communication systems, including iDEN[TM], GSM/GPRS, CDMA, satellite, Bluetooth[TM], and WiFi (802.11) technologies.
This technology has a wide range of applications, including trucking and transportation fleets, construction, distribution, public safety, field service, waste disposal, health care, landscaping, towing, etc.
Fleet owners purchase or lease an iTRAK[TM] product for each vehicle (it can be permanently mounted or easily moved from vehicle to vehicle, depending on the need) and the information is sent via a wireless phone or wireless data modem, as determined by the fleet manager. A monthly fee is charged for private access to the NavView[TM] website, with fleet vehicles displayed in real time on maps of the corresponding city or area. Numerous reports can be generated for better fleet management. Automatic safety measures can be programmed to show, as one example, an alarm when a vehicle is moved into or out of a specified perimeter.
The iTRAKjava[TM] is designed to accommodate an individual or single vehicle. It automatically sends position reports from the mobile phone, without the user having to call in. It is ideal for outdoor sports enthusiasts who like to venture to remote locations.
Data Burst Technologies, established in 1995, is based in Woodland Park, Colorado, and is a leading manufacturer of vehicle tracking systems and software. Data Burst's iTRAK[TM] products are sold through the Motorola Authorized Dealer network. Data Burst offers equipment and service leasing options through Lease Corporation of America.
Data Burst Technologies provides a full line of tracking products, from Java/GPS based personal tracking solutions such as the iTRAKjava[TM] software, to completely integrated telematics solutions such as the iTRAKpro[TM] network configurable line of products.
