Degree master merchandising online

DENTON, Tex. -- The University of North Texas is offering one of the Nation's first online Master's Degree programs in merchandising.

UNT's School of Merchandising and Hospitality Management began offering online courses this fall. Two courses are being offered: promotional strategies and global merchandising. The school will offer two courses toward the degree every semester, making it possible to complete the degree in about two years.

The classes are being taught by video clips, discussion groups and e-mail. Students will complete creative projects, original research, analytical papers, technical reports and collaborative projects that promote teamwork.

Anyone with an internet connection and a four-year undergraduate degree an apply for admission. The graduate program offers participants control over when and where they take courses. Students can review video clips of lectures as well as slides vial the internet at their convenience on password-protected web classrooms.
