NYU Real Estate Institute Master of Science Alumni Association Sponsors 11th Annual Monopoly® event, Glenn Rufrano is Honorary Chairman - Brief Article
Almost 800 of New York City's real estate tycoons (and tycoons in the making) crowded a Puck Building ballroom recently for an evening of gaming, people watching, and wheeling and dealing at the 11th Annual "Evening of Monopoly[R]". Sponsored by the New York University Real Estate Institute Master of Science Alumni Association, this event has become the "go to" event in the fall calendar. Glenn Rufrano, CEO of New Plan Excel Realty Trust, was Honorary Chairman of the event, which this year raised close to quarter million dollars for scholarship funds. Ken Patton, Associate Dean of the NYU School of Continuing and Professional Studies and the Larry and Klara Silverstein Professor of Real Estate, lauded Mr. Rufrano as a "leader and innovator in the retail REIT sector, and a man of vision and integrity." Mr. Rufrano is also a member of the NYU REI Advisory Board.
NYU SCPS Dean David F. Finney expressed appreciation to Mr. Rufrano and to the Real Estate Institute Master of Science Alumni Association. Enoch Lawrence, President of the Alumni Association, and Nia Francis, Alumni Director of the "Evening of Monopoly", were on hand as well for much deserved recognition.
