Ryanair cuts fares by 30% in German market

Irish discount airline Ryanair has stepped up its price war with German carrier Lufthansa in the German market.
Ryanair has cut fares on all flights from its new continental European hub at Frankfurt's Hahn airport by approximately 30%.
One-way fares to London, Glasgow and Shannon airports have been reduced from DEM99 to DEM69, while the fares on all other European routes to/from Bournemouth, Milan, Oslo, Pescara, Pisa, Montpellier and Perpignan are now reduced to DEM99.
The special fares will be available for purchase until 16 December 2001 and travel must be completed by 15 March 2002.
