Canada cruise discount
French waterways - Cruise Cavalcade - French Country Waterways - Brief Article
For the third year, French Country Waterways is offering a special spring savings of $1,400 per couple together with 2001 rates for all April departures of its barge cruises in Burgundy, Champagne and the Upper Loire Val1ey.
April 6 to 27 all-inclusive rates are $2,895 to $4,095 per person, double occupancy, and combine a spring discount of $600 per stateroom ($300 for single occupancy) with a $400-per-person "value season" discount. Guests also receive a gift of regional specialties.
Five 8- to 18-passenger barges sail on leisurely 6-night canal cruises that capture the essence of provincial France. Daily excursions take in historic cities, medieval towns, stately chateaux, Gothic and Romanesque churches and private wine tastings. In free time passengers can relax on the deck and walk or bicycle along canal towpaths. Hot-air ballooning is an option.
Cruise prices cover a deluxe stateroom or suite, all meals, one dinner ashore at renowned 2- or 3-star Michelin restaurants, estate-bottled wines at lunch and dinner, open bar, daily sightseeing excursions, personal service by an English- and French-speaking crew, bicycles and escorted transfers between Paris and the barges.
The spring savings apply only to individual bookings and not to charters. Early reservations are recommended since space is limited. Information, brochures and reservations are available from French Country Waterways, Ltd., P.O.
