Caribbean cruise discount vacation

A bike tour that visits San Juan, St. Lucia, Antigua, St. Maarten, St. Croix, St. Thomas and San Juan is scheduled for Nov. 26-Dec. 3, 2000.

The riding level is moderate, with rolling and hilly terrain; mileage is 18-35 per day.

The bike-and-cruise cycling vacation, offered by Bike & Cruise Tours, spends the days bicycling on different islands in the southern Caribbean and the nights cruising to the next port on Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Dream with all the amenities.

Ample time is allotted each day to explore the islands by bike, and a daily picnic stop at a local beach offers time for snorkeling and swimming. Experienced tour guides, local island riders and a support vehicle accompany the group.

Participants should book this tour by Sept. 1 to ensure these rates and space on the tour.

Prices range from $655 to $885 per person, cruise only, depending on the selected cabin category. Single rates are available. These prices include seven nights on the ship, all meals and evening entertainment. Port taxes are $170 per person. Airfare to San Juan, PR, can be arranged through the cruise line at a group discount rate from your closest major gateway city, or you can arrange your own.

Additional fees include a bicycle tour fee of $350 per person and optional bicycle rental of $100 (or you can bring your own bike).
