The Year of the Horse arrived in February, according to the Chinese Zodiac, and with it a special Chinese New Year package deal at the Great Eagle Hotel in Hong Kong. Those who were lucky enough to be born under this sign -- in 1918, 1930, 1942, 1954, 1966, 1978 and 2002 -- will enjoy an additional fourth night free when purchasing the 3-night package.
The "Good Luck Package," which extends through February 2003, will feature three nights' accommodations on the Great Eagle's "Club" Floors dinner for two in the Tang Court restaurant (featuring a traditional Good Luck Menu) and a gift of a jade horse figurine (the semiprecious stone is said to hold spiritual properties that bestow relaxation and purity of soul).
The package is priced at HK $4,746 (approx. US$608). (Priced alone, the dinner for two costs HK$990, or $127.)
