Singapore to increase and extend airline discounts

Singapore will reportedly increase and extend its discounts to airlines landing at Changi International Airport.
The new measures, designed to boost the airport's competitiveness, will increase the 10% landing fee discount and the 15% rental discount. The two discounts - introduced in October 2001 to help airlines following the 11 September terrorist attacks - will also be extended for another three years from January 2003.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore, the discounts could enable airlines to save up to SGD130m over three years.
